Sixteen years after the battle for the life of the Dragon Prince, the world has only become more chaotic. Ezran and his rebels are slowly being killed off by the powerful mage Aarovos, who has forced the world into a dark age, sicker than anything seen before. Where is the king of the dragons, and what will they do once Aarovos has successfully killed all that refuse his twisted world?
Among the chaos, Callum and Rayla, a couple shunned for interbreeding, conceive a daughter, one that the Moon shadow elf religion holds sacred, as her marks, deem her the MoonChild, the savior of their kind, and now all of Xadia. But she seems completely unfit to fulfill her destiny and blaming it on her mixed background, her parents are rejected even further. What do you do when religion fails you? How can you see a light out, when you can't even trust who you are anymore?
