Short story initially written for a literary course at University, now translated to English as part of an application for an internship.
The story tackles the reality of the lower social classes in a fictional reality that will undoubtedly feel familiar to the survivors of year 2020.
I chose this story because I felt quite satisfied with the original, but sadly there's also a lot lost in translation. Still worth the reading I hope.All Rights Reserved

I do not expect everyone to enjoy this story, I am simply writing it as a sort of homage to any missing people and know that this is one of the darkest stories I have ever written. My Life In Pieces by MzangilaSnr

A boy grows in a small village, chained with witchcraft, poverty and alcohol. Somehow he manages to get out of the village to attend far away schools in the city where his life completely changes as he utilizes his newfound freedom. This is followed by several tribulations, conquering each of them, drowning in some and even attempting suicide. In college he's inscripted into the special branch where he becomes a cold killer who cleans the government mess. His story is that of denial, struggle with identity, lack of personal freedom and misery. It radiates several lessons and reveals how a person can be totally different from what others know about him. He knows that his end is near and that he has to find ways to emancipate himself, because knowing much can get you killed. Have a wonderful read.
