13-year-old Emily Hensen has been left home alone before late into the night. She has also had unusual things happen to her. But she has never had a person follow her, without a word. When she catches the person in her house and tries to fight back and protect herself, the mysterious figure catches her and takes her to a place where she feels as though she is out of place. But at the same time, how could she leave, once she has made friends, and could end up possibly breaking their trust.

After she has created relationships she starts to wish for things that she knows could never be possible. She is afraid to tell people because she is afraid that they will end up pushing her away. Will she tell them on her own, or would they have to find out the hard way, and potentially bringing up an evil that had been stopped many years ago..
