I felt inspired by the open ending, to let my own fantasy go and write for what I think would be neat. I based my story off the open ending of the anime, not the manga, since we have a clear ending in that (unfortunately, since I cried very hard). I hope you like it.

We all know how sad the ending of banana fish is. But, there are some clues that indicate ash is still alive. And so, I'm writing the story of how he wakes up in the library, fakes his own death, and goes to Japan. Ash and Eiji
Eiji is torn apart by the news of Ash's death. He locks himself away and begins to slowly fade away. When he finds out Ash is still alive he couldn't be happier. But now, after so long, after almost letting it all go every morning and night, how was he supposed to pick himself back up and just forget? He's been just as gone as Ash was.
