These are the last words Amelia Price hears from her father before he forced her from the house they had holed up in and a gunshot rang across the empty neighbourhood.
It's been months, or more, since she left that cream coloured house at the end of the road. It had been a picture-perfect, all-American, white picket fence dream house that had belonged to a family that was long gone.
Since then her only company was her father's retired K-9 partner, Lucky, and the skills he taught her to survive in this new world.
Amelia finds a new neighbourhood with a new all-American home to hole up in and decide what happens next, that is until a split-second decision forces her back out of her safety zone and into the wild.
