Who's power is to procreate quickly, their mother could care less about any of her children, included the two boys. Most children, including Lykke and Cerbaus, were sold to whoever was willing to pay more than a nickel. A bright and shiney nickel at that. The two had to keep together.
Their race was horribly raged against back then, and not as well known. This took interest in a certain doctor's mind.
They wake up, and suffer the worst year of their life. Shots everyday, experiments, drugs, anything the damned doctor could think of to test on the boys. They were at his disposal afterall.
