"Junko-san will come for us!"
They cheered from their separate cells.
I did not have the heart to tell them that my predictions said otherwise..
Because.. I believe, some part of me.. truly wanted to believe that she would.. However..
I knew she was dead.
There was no way she could come.
Now I had no way to truly know if she ever would.
That is my only regret.. I thought calmly, patting the one pocket they didn't think to check.
