Naruto Uzumaki didn't have the greatest childhood growing up. He was abused for even entering the house, was neglected, beat to near death on several occasions, and was hated by everyone in his village. 

There have only been 2 moments in Narutos early life, where he's had hope. The first being when he tried comiting suicide, and the second being when he was taken in by his adopted father, Kakashi Hatake.

His life has been pretty great ever since, and now, as he's about to become a genin, when some certain people realize he's missing, everything changes
