did the love affair maim you too?
1 part Complete They say you never remember something the same way twice. Each time you think of something past, what you recall is from the last time you thought of it. Each time, more of the event or person is lost. You slowly lose pieces of it; memories can't be trusted. But when you lose a person, whether losing touch or death or they were just never meant to be a permanent part of your life in the first place, memories are all you have left.
After David, Mia's memories swirl through her head, a mixture of fact and fiction, their first meeting to their breakup, and the aftermath. Everything she remembers, everything she doesn't, is all she has left of him. She clings to every memory she has of him, unable to let go. Because everything, the fights, the laughter, the unadmitted love, the support, the adventures, the letting go, are all she has. And she remembers it, all too well.
