For as long as Shuichi remembers, he's been a shut in. His only comfort being a series he loved dearly-- Danganronpa. He was especially fond of a character in season 43, going as far as obsessing over him and buying every piece of merch he could find. But what happens when one day fate decides he should stumble upon a boy that resembles him everyday? That boy is Kokichi Ouma.

Though behind the smiling mask of the actor, the journalist senses a putrefying secret, yet to be revealed. Should he unwrap the dreadful mystery? And will he be able to keep up with his emotional roller-coasters? Will their respective jobs prevent them from being together? I don't like spoiling, but there are some elements in the story that might be a sensible topic to some. So ignore the following part if you are not easily triggered and you prefer discovering the story as it goes. Otherwise continue reading for some trigger warnings. TRIGGER WARNING! Later in the story there is going to be a raping scene described in detail.

(First book of the trilogy) Kokichi, a kind, extroverted boy, moved out to a new city and dropped out in a new school: Spring Field Academy, he quickly made friends here and became one of the popular students, but soon after a few weeks, he notices that one of his classmates is left out from everybody else. Kokichi never saw that boy speak to anyone, neither did he hear him talk in the first place, so of course he decided to try and befriend this lonely boy. This is a non-stereotypical pregame Saiouma story where there is no stalker-ish creepy Shuichi or uwu boy Kokichi, just their ingame personalities with a few changes here and there, I hope you will like this fluff story, there may be some angst here and there or other things, but I'll just put warnings in chapters for people uncomfortable with it :D contains: angst violence smut (the smut part will be separated from other chapters so that people that don't wanna read it would be able to skip it) aaand a lil bit of hidden lore you could try finding out with some clues, I know that there will be detective readers hungry for some lore 🔍 but you still have to find what could be related to a hidden lore 🤭 I could maybe, just maybe give you some hints! enjoy the fanfic!

Tldr; smut, fluff, complex story ;) Pregame universe; Shuichi Saihara is an upstanding kid with a defensive aura, he's well liked and keeps okay grades. He's usually well dressed and wears a hat 24/7, his silky blue-ish black hair hidden beneath it. He has a few admirers and is definitely more popular than Kokichi; A kid who keeps to himself. He has good grades because Atua forbid his parents find out he brought home anything less than an A, not that they'd be home much to see it. This is shown in his outward appearance, including slightly messy hair, usually a bandaid or two somewhere on his body to cover up a bruise or a gash made by unfriendly hands, and the traditional 2nd year school uniform as opposed to the 3rd, like Shuichi. Shuichi has a best friend named Rantaro Amami, a self-fulfilled prophecy of sorts. His dad was an unsightly character, beating on his mom constantly before being locked in jail. Rantaro is overly protective, inquisitive, and very.. Observant? He seems like an average kid to others, but if you get caught in one of his "stares"- Well.. You're not getting away from it. His light lime green hair is fluffy and well kept, and he wears a 3rd year uniform like his peers. He also has quite a few piercings- Most of which Shuichi was around for. Join these three as they battle with their emotions, questioning themselves every step of the way. Will they have a happy ending, Kokichi and Shuichi becoming Star-Crossed Lovers? A new kid has arrived at Hope's peak Academy his name is Shuichi Saihara a crazy yandere who falls in love with a short unpopular boy named Kokichi Ouma. As he stalked his beloved around Shuichi see kokichi get pushed, punched and thrown around multiple times in a day by Kaito and Rantaro, Shuichi decides to take matters into his own hands to protect his beloved from anything that hurts him or comes in the way of him and his beloved.
