“Will he ever like me? I mean, there’s no way he’d like someone as noisy and annoying as me! I’d change for him, but I just can’t…”
“Does she even know I exist? Ah, probably not…I’m too quiet…I’m just too boring for her. I’d try to talk just for her, but I just can’t…”
Allison Heathers and Zain Daniels are two different people who were put together in one boring classroom. Allison is childish, playful, way too talkative and ignorant about the tragedies of this world. She acts like she doesn’t know what sadness is. Meanwhile, Zain is deliberate, quiet and rarely smiles.
These two are total opposites—but there’s something that they both have in common, the fact that they’re both betwixt and between. “Does he like me?” “What if she’ll reject me?” “Should I talk to him?” “Wait…she likes someone else, doesn’t she?” “No, I’ll just annoy him.” “Should I try and ask her out? No, I’ll just be rejected.”
But maybe, just maybe…in the end they’ll understand. In the end, their curiosities will be satisfied…and then the biggest question will be answered…
