Banyuhay is the Tagalog word of 'metamorphosis'. This book features proses and free verse poem(s) I have written during the year 2019 onwards. The reason behind the title is because I have undergone (or am undergoing) metamorphosis as I am trying to resuscitate my love for writing.

My Ex-Stepfather
Harry Styles isn't my father, he's my stepfather. Well ex-stepfather. My mother married him when I was 18, she was 36 and he was 20. Totally gross right? Little did I know that she was already knocked up when they got married. They were a happy little family while I was living with my ACTUAL father and going to college. Two years later, my mother left Harry for a man even younger then him and took him to the cleaners. She got full custody, child support and spousal support to pay the way of her and her new boy toy while Harry had to give her his house and move into a small apartment. It's been three years since the divorce my mother wants me to come back for her wedding, the wedding Harry paid for. I felt terrible for Harry but I was too ashamed of my own mother to reach out. But now she's left me no choice because he's the only one that can help me. Will he even answer the phone? I haven't talked to him in almost four years, I don't know what state he's in having his son ripped from him or all of his hard earned money taken away. All I know is that I'm at his doorstep and he's about to get the surprise of his life. ______________ ⚠️ Will contain an assload of foul language as well as sexual content. SHIDDAT -E- ISHQ: TALE OF FORBIDDEN LOVE
I was only nine when my life changed forever. I was sold like an object; all of my cries were ignored as if they meant nothing. I meant nothing. That night, I learned that in this world, I had no value -- not as a child and not as human as well. So, I learned to survive on my own. Later years were even cruel. I was sold and tossed from one hand to another. I was taught to obey, to smile when I wanted to cry, to bury my pain deep inside. Love? Happiness? Those were words that didn't exist in my world. All I knew was how to survive. And when I lost all of my hopes of survival as well, he came. He didn't just look at me, he saw me. He made me feel something I never felt before. I saw a spark of hope in him, but hope is dangerous. I am dangerous and not something meant for love. I want him to stay away from me because I don't want him to burn with me in the same fire. I need him to stop and save himself from this forbidden love. I can never be his and person like him are not meant to be mine. I am Sandhya and this is my story of Love and Freedom from those who call themselves my master.
