*This will be a relatively short novella, and will update irregularly as I write in weird intervals. This is an experiment for me, writing a villainous/amoral protagonist. Also THIS WILL BE DARK, so flee oh ye faint of heart*

Description:

Vois knows the other maids at Count Carlisle's estate are frightened of her.
She doesn't mind. They're right, after all.

Vois is well and truly mad. The little girl does not cry, does not complain, and does not smile. The castle staff whisper that the child was born an empty shell without a will--a cursed Ghost Child. What they don't know is that Vois is very much aware of the world around her. What she lacks in empathy, she makes up for with a doubleshare of cunning and intelligence. Vois is brilliant at reading and manipulating people, and frighteningly unbound by the rules and laws of society.

Then one day, Vois is approached by Olivia Feiln and makes an innocent mistake:

Murder.

To her surprise, she doesn't feel guilty at all.

However, this incident sparks a series of investigations, pushing Vois into a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse with the unforgiving Imperial Paladins, the cruel Count Carlisle, and the sly servants of House Nocturne, with their entangled web of intrigue and scandal. At first, Vois is merely intrigued.

But as she observes, it becomes apparent that she isn't the only one with dark secrets--and many of them seem to be tied back to her.

Note: Description will update as I write, since it's a work in progress.
