The Rise of the Empire
(Next book after Without Them, so I recommend you read that one first) The Empire is getting stronger. Darth Vader and the Emperor like using me as a training tool. But the power they are practicing is beyond that of any Jedi. It's not natural. I was told to protect Leia, one of the only hopes left in the galaxy. How can I do that if I'm dead? DISCLAIMER: I don't own the star wars franchise. No copyright violations intended. So I was writing Without Them and realized that it was getting quite long, so I plan to continue it here. The original storyline I had planned is now going to become a trilogy. Plus, it would be mean to leave the last book as the only one with that ending :) To understand this book, I highly recommend that you read the first book! If you liked the first book, this will be pretty much the same in terms of writing style. **UNDER CONSTRUCTION: Please keep in mind that I wrote this a long time ago. That said, there are things that don't make 100% sense because middle school me thought it sounded good. Middle school me has since seen the light, but older me hasn't had time to go back and fix everything. I'm in the process of cleaning it up, but it isn't perfect. Don't leave nasty comments please. Fresh from the Battle of Endor, Leia finally has time to contemplate the fact Luke is her brother and - more horrifically - her father was the infamous Darth Vader. While everyone is celebrating the definitive end of the Empire, she stays in her quarters and wonders what this effect could have on her. She had just learnt she was the daughter of the most evil and powerful being in the galaxy, her best friend was in fact her brother and that she was capable of the exact same power they both held. That would mess with anyone's head! When she finally rejoins her fellow comrades in the festivities, she finds herself face to face with an old friend of hers. Ahsoka Tano. Being the apprentice of Anakin Skywalker, she knew Leia's father well (at least, before he became a tyrant). Ahsoka talked all night with Luke and Leia, telling them tales of the Clone Wars, with Commander Rex joining in to show his admiration of his lost general. What if they could go back and stop the Empire from ever happening? What if they could stop their father from decending into the dark side? What if they could prevent the destruction of the Jedi? What if they could stop the Emperor before he even started? Minor spoilers for Clone Wars, Rebels and possibly Mandalorian. I say minor because it's mostly just easter eggs here and there and the rest you're smart enough to figure out on your own. I'm a Jedi Padawan... oh wait, I'm not. No Master will pick me. I'm the fabled "Weakest Jedi." My connection to the force is so below-average I can barely muster a force-push. My only powers include limited force-sense and basic enhancing of my physical attributes. Despite this, I WILL become a Jedi. How? By honing my physical abilities and lightsaber techniques beyond what anyone thought possible. __________________________________________________________________________________ Hesitant to call this a "power fantasy," but this story will include the main character slowly becoming more powerful.
