vienna waits for you

"I just want to thank you."
"Why, Vienna Jay? I should be thanking you..."
"I mean, not really" I mumble back to him. I break eye contact, feeling my emotions forming a pool on my eyes, and a small tear glides down my rosy cheeks.
He takes his hand and brushes it across, wiping the tear from my face, "Thank you, V, really. Thank you. You helped me meet my two best friends."
Confused, I drift my eye contact back to his, "two?"
"Yeah, two" he talks sweetly and slowly, taking breaks between every few words. "First there was you. And all of your love and comfort." Now, he's holding my hands in his own, brushing his thumbs over my knuckles. He looks away, like shifting his gaze will give him all the answers in the world.
Looking back to me, he lets go of my right hand, bringing his up to my ear. He pushes a loose strand back, "and then there's myself. Vienna Jay, you helped me meet myself. And I don't think I could ever thank you enough for that."
