"Why is my memory gone?" I spoke aloud, looking over my shoulder towards Zero. She smiled at me even though her eyes were closed.

"Because I'm missing - I am a part of you Hiro," she stated, nudging my neck with her horn. I raised an eyebrow at her action, before slumping in defeat.

"I don't understand, again."

"Patience darling," she said. I sighed for what felt like the millionth time. Her fingers played with the fabric of my shirt as I tried to make sense of it all.

"How close were we?" I asked.

"Very close. We were one," she said. I nodded, not really finding any grounds to disagree. For me to feel this way towards her even after I've lost my memory, I didn't doubt her.

After the catastrophic war between the Klaxo Sapiens and alien hive-mind species VIRM, Hiro and Zero Two made a promise to find each other on Earth again. Seven years later, Hiro wakes up in the Garden with his memory wiped. He experiences vivid hallucinations of Zero Two which might help him locate her body and reunite them once and for all. Will Hiro regain his memory of his old life? Or will he prove his inability to live without Zero's wings?
