Infected

Theo was a junior doctor when it started. It was just a normal day in the hospital when the dead started to rise and devour the living. A year later, they have medications to stop infection but the world has changed.

In a world where the dead walk with an insatiable hunger for human flesh if they don't receive the medication within 24 hours and even if they do receive it, are changed forever. Those that have previously been infected are no longer viewed as human. By law, it must be reported if they have been infected and they are segregated from the rest of society. Violent attacks are on the rise, motivated by fear and hate. Some believe that those previously infected are abominations that must be eradicated but Theo believes otherwise. She sees them as humans despite the threat they could pose her and her passion to help others may just get her killed.
