This is a story about a girl's desperation to help her friends, her country, and even the enemy. Bleu lives in a world where only two countries still thrive, the others merely small colonies trying to expand. No one has seen the sun in 150 years, yet life goes on. When her home is destroyed, Bleu, the courageous girl who can take care of herself, is forced to flee the only place she has ever known. The British have invaded, and the country has one hope left: 17 year-old Bleu. Along the way, she allies herself with a group of people, all of them with a secret. And soon, they meet up with an army of resistors, that turn to Bleu as their leader. Despite what she wants, it is Bleu's destiny to protect her country, and at whatever the cost. After all, this is war.
