Karlie walked numbly and quietly. She shivered as she was barefoot in the deep snow as the king's son and the high priest marched her to the sacred grove. Tonight she would be sacrificed to appease the dragon. The entire community walked with her, some weeping others laughing and taunting. They carried burning torches to light the misty darkens that surrounded them. Karlie stood tall as she walked refusing to display the terror she felt. She was dressed in her new red dress she had sewn for her wedding, a day that now would never come. Soon all would be stripped away and her life taken.

The storm rolled over the horizon like a black tide, swallowing the last light of the evening sun. Thunder cracked above the old cathedral, its towering spires clawing at the sky. Sir Aldric Varros, once a knight of the queen's royal guard, now nothing more than an exile, stood before the massive iron doors, his heavy cloak soaked through from the rain. He had sworn never to return to this place. Not after she cast him out. Not after the trial, the disgrace, the whispers that followed him like ghosts. But tonight, he had no choice. Because tonight, his sister was missing. The message had come unexpectedly a tattered letter slipped under his door at the old tavern where he had been drinking himself toward oblivion. "She has her. The queen knows. If you want to see her alive, come to the cathedral. Midnight. - A Friend." The doors groaned as he pushed them open, stepping into the vast, candlelit chamber. Shadows danced along the stone walls, their flickering shapes twisting like unseen watchers. The scent of burning incense masked something else, something rotten. At the altar, draped in ceremonial robes of black and crimson, stood High Priest Mammon, the queen's most devout servant. His skeletal hands rested on the golden hilt of a dagger, and his sunken eyes glittered with something like amusement. "Sir Aldric," Mammon said, his voice smooth as oil. "The Oathbreaker returns. I knew you would come." Aldric's fingers twitched toward the hilt of his sword. "Where is my sister?" Mammon smiled. "Closer than you think." Aldric's heart raced as Mammon's words echoed in his mind, each syllable heavy with sinister implication. He knew that the queen's whispers had summoned not just the monsters of legend, but dark creatures that preyed on the innocent in the shadows of the forest that stretched across the land. The path ahead was fraught with danger, a grueling quest that would demand every ounce of his skill and resolve.

The Word of Trolls is a fantasy series, broken into three parts, that draws its inspiration from the Norse folklores, with trolls, draugs, the hulder and the northern lights all playing their vital part. It is a story that explores human's close relation with nature, setting them up as two opposing forces. Which side will win in the end? At the centre of the world stands the enormous mountain Várri, the only true mountain in the land, and said to be the Trolls' final resting place. For centuries, a hulder, a woman with a tail, has preserved the balance in nature, but one day a boy of 17 finds a hidden tunnel that leads to this woman. The woman claims he has the gift to give life to baby trolls. He is appalled by the idea, yet soon becomes a father to a baby troll. On top of Várri, in Snowfall, the Kvínnús chooses their men, and the tribe is led by a Trollkvínnú (spiritual leader). Trollkvínnús has the ability to see the future within the northern lights. Kvínnú Áila (15), a strong-willed girl, is at 16 destined to become the tribe's next Trollkvínnú, after her mother. The king of the lands below the mountain however, wants her as the land's princess. Stolen at birth, Tiril Stone (17) was brought to Cod Tongue by her uncle. All her life she has breathed fog and had difficulties finding balance on land. Life on the small fishing island is brutal. Tiril is forced to take up the oars in order to pay for her family's debt. Out at sea, she realises she can attract fish by touching the water, but using her abilities also builds up a storm. She comes close to drowning but is saved by a draug, sailing in his half-boat.

"Why'd you stop?" I asked panting, our foreheads still connected. "I said I'd make you pay, My Lady, also, thought that you might need help to take off this smoking hot, sexy dress which has put me through hell all evening" A smirk formed on my lips hearing his words. "Well, it seems like i am not the only one to accept this punishment ,huh?" i asked as I started to move my hips and grind o his boner a few times. "Don't push my limits, Princess. I am at the edge of getting rid of every clothing that separates us and take you right here right now." he said staring right into my eyes with his intense gray orbs. And i nearly orgasmed hearing this statement. "And the honourable gentleman inside you, prevents it huh? Let it be then, the rest is up to my dreams and imagination tonight" I gave him a peck this time as i climbed off of him. "In our wedding night, Princess, you will see that your wildest dreams did me no justice" he stole a quick but passionate kiss from me again as he stood up too. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Princess Saera, heavenly beautiful, fierce, intelligent and free spirited young girl. "Do you remember calling me 'mate?'" he asked softly, pushing her wild curls away from her face. She blushed deeply, but he wouldn't let her look away. "You heard that?" He nodded with a smile. "It was the first thought she ever shared with me." Skylar pursed her lips. "She likes you very much." "What about you?" he teased gently. "How do you feel about me?" She set her jaw and once again managed to look down her nose at him while staring up at him. "Well... well, I'm rather fond of you, Orion." He let out a relieved laugh and pulled her into his chest again. "What a relief. I was worried it was just me." He nuzzled her temple, inhaling deeply, his dragon fully at peace. The words "I love you" were right on the tip of his tongue, but he knew it was too soon for that. He would have to hold them in just a little while longer. "I'm fond of you, too," he whispered in her ear. <><><><><><><><> Skylar lived her life in fear. Fear of exposure, fear of herself, and fear of her future. As a princess and heir to the kingdom, her future was daunting enough. The fact that she turned into dragon and would be killed if anyone found out made it all the worse. So, Skylar lived in constant conflict with the beast within her, all while training to be queen one day. When a fellow king discovers her secret, she is forced to flee or put her entire family in danger. When she meets Orion, the Alpha of a dragon clan, he helps open up a whole new world to her. In this new world, Skylar discovers who she is supposed to be and what she's been hiding from. She finds the beauty of her beast and a love she only ever dreamed of. But then her new world is threatened. It becomes a matter of kill or be killed, so Skylar's new family, with the help of her old, must rise to the challenge to defeat this threat. Or risk the extinction of her kind.
