Karlie walked numbly and quietly. She shivered as she was barefoot in the deep snow as the king's son and the high priest marched her to the sacred grove. Tonight she would be sacrificed to appease the dragon. The entire community walked with her, some weeping others laughing and taunting. They carried burning torches to light the misty darkens that surrounded them. Karlie stood tall as she walked refusing to display the terror she felt. She was dressed in her new red dress she had sewn for her wedding, a day that now would never come. Soon all would be stripped away and her life taken.

I breathed out a sigh of relief. Thank god I can move now. That dress was making it remarkably difficult, and I was glad to see it shortened. Snow looked at the huntsman as if he just made a move to violate her. It was a serious insinuation, but the look on her face couldn't stop me from laughing. "Honey, if he was going to do anything untoward to you, I'd have killed him by now" I said. She grinned at my joke and I wrapped an arm around her shoulders. "But he cut yours shorter..." She pointed. He was waiting for us, seemingly amused by her disgust. "Don't flatter yourself" He smirked at us, and to be honest, I smirked back. He was even more attractive when he held something other than that frown. "Stay close" ****************************************** Snow White and her sister, Cersei Rose, were taken in the dead of night. Locked in a tower for 7 years, the twins seize the opportunity to escape. The queen Ravenna is furious. Sending a huntsman to kill both girls and bring them back, their hearts only, mind you. In return, she would give him his dead wife back. The huntsman, Eric, chased the girls. But, once finding them, he realizes that not all in this deal is as it seems. Facing cruel monsters in their path, the girls must flee. But their lives are in the hands of the huntsman now. So, what will he choose? The lives of two innocent women? Or to resurrect his beloved wife from the grave? Based on the 2012 film 'Snow White and the Huntsman'. Oathbreaker's Return by Grassy95
3 parts Ongoing Mature
The storm rolled over the horizon like a black tide, swallowing the last light of the evening sun. Thunder cracked above the old cathedral, its towering spires clawing at the sky. Sir Aldric Varros, once a knight of the queen's royal guard, now nothing more than an exile, stood before the massive iron doors, his heavy cloak soaked through from the rain. He had sworn never to return to this place. Not after she cast him out. Not after the trial, the disgrace, the whispers that followed him like ghosts. But tonight, he had no choice. Because tonight, his sister was missing. The message had come unexpectedly a tattered letter slipped under his door at the old tavern where he had been drinking himself toward oblivion. "She has her. The queen knows. If you want to see her alive, come to the cathedral. Midnight. - A Friend." The doors groaned as he pushed them open, stepping into the vast, candlelit chamber. Shadows danced along the stone walls, their flickering shapes twisting like unseen watchers. The scent of burning incense masked something else, something rotten. At the altar, draped in ceremonial robes of black and crimson, stood High Priest Mammon, the queen's most devout servant. His skeletal hands rested on the golden hilt of a dagger, and his sunken eyes glittered with something like amusement. "Sir Aldric," Mammon said, his voice smooth as oil. "The Oathbreaker returns. I knew you would come." Aldric's fingers twitched toward the hilt of his sword. "Where is my sister?" Mammon smiled. "Closer than you think." Aldric's heart raced as Mammon's words echoed in his mind, each syllable heavy with sinister implication. He knew that the queen's whispers had summoned not just the monsters of legend, but dark creatures that preyed on the innocent in the shadows of the forest that stretched across the land. The path ahead was fraught with danger, a grueling quest that would demand every ounce of his skill and resolve.
