Andre's mum had been staying with his grandparents in Nancy, when the Eastern powers invaded France. The pictures of the rubble and ruin all but confirmed that his mother had died. Since then Andre closed himself off and poured all of his time into his archery practice. But when the dead begin to rise and he loses the last bit of family he had left, a call from his mum becomes his reason to survive.
