I lived by those words, until I made a mistake and I realised how messed up my life truly was."
Korina Evans, an ordinary 14 year old girl. That's what everybody sees at first glance. Nobody can be bothered to dig underneath and see how broken she is, how she's woken up alone in the orphanage basement every day since she watched her abusive parents get shot to death, how she goes to school only to face the bullying and harassment from other students, how she starves for days on end because nobody can be bothered to give her proper, edible food, how she cries herself to sleep at night with only the comfort from her imaginary friend. Nobody notices, until she meets them, the Avengers. After accidentally murdering some students with her new-found powers, she's viewed as a threat. But maybe she doesn't have to be. Maybe she can be helped. Maybe she can be saved.
And that's how Korina ends up living with the Avengers.
