Y/n's childhood was far from picture-perfect. The loneliness of their memories followed them regardless of where they were and who they were with. Izunavi, who had essentially adopted Y/n, trained them in various forms of martial arts until they were fit to complete the Hunter Exams. Under the condition that they return with their Hunter license, Izunavi would complete Y/n's training. Throughout the Hunter Exams Y/n befriends Gon, and, consequently, Kurapika, Leorio, and Killua. Y/n realizes that their plan for a simple and comfortable life is no longer realistic if they decide to stay with Kurapika. To risk the security and stability that Y/n has fantasized about since childhood for an impetuous blonde boy is quite the gamble. Through a short separation from one another, it is clear that the bond created from risking their lives together in the Hunter Exams has turned into a longing for one another.
