A young man named Jake falls for a beautiful actress named Kathryn Newton and they meet and get to know 1 another. Soon after Jake witnesses a mysterious abduction of Kathryn and sees game character Luigi and realizes he may have a new ability of seeing game characters. When Luigi asks him for help in rescuing Tsux Namine from a villain who threatens to use her power for evil purposes, Jake sets out on a adventure with Luigi to a modified Mushroom Kingdom. As they dig deeper into the mystery, They must battle a mysterious group called Switch Busters as Jake begins to unravel the secret behind his new ability and save both Mushroom Kingdom and his world.
