Vanessa is 18 years old. She is French and was living with her father in Paris. After his recent death she is forced to move to the United States to live with her mum, Rachel. Vanessa isn't pleased. Her mother spends more time managing celebrities rather than taking care of her own daughter. Does she even remember she has a daughter ? Vanessa hates everything about show business and doesn't understand why everyone is so obsessed with musicians or actresses.
