a young girls mother had to move cities for her job, so, to make it easier, she moved to a smaller town and made her daughter go to a boarding school.
in there world, it's very different. There is a ranking in every school, comparing how powerful each person is. you get ranked on how well you know your spirit animal and how legendary it is.
If your power level is 0.1-0.9 then you are a low ranker, you are looked down on and don't have trust with you spirit animal, this is the lowest ranking you can get.
If your power level is 1.0-1.9 then you are an average ranker, this is the most common one, you are treated normally by others, however you are looked down on by anyone higher then you.
If your power level is 2.0-2.9 then you are a middle ranker, just above the average, it's still common, but, it isn't looked down upon as much as the lower ones.
if your power level is 3.0-3.9 then you are a high ranker, you have trained your spirit animal well, and you have a good connection with them.
if your power level is 4.0+ then you are hero ranker. you most likely have a legendary spirit animal and an amazing connection together.
your ranking and spirit animal shows what powers you will have and how strong you are. not only that, it will also effect what job you will have in the future.
in our world, the most important thing is our rankings..

Ghost aren't real. And chics this cute don't tell you they are. It's the reassurance I told myself, which mostly didn't work cause it was a straight up lie. This book doesn't have effervescent, long haired fairy's or stoic vampires that smolder and fight. More like a judgmental grumpy teen weed dealer named Zach, who shamefully talks about himself in third person like this. And you won't find some grand quest up a mountain or into an unknown land rich with magic because I have asthma and no time for that shit. And lastly, there will be absolutely no hideous romance where instantly the girl of my dreams sweeps me off my feet. I get on her nerves far to much for that. Finding out I'm part of ancient group of mediums tasked with cataloging, fighting and cleansing ghost you would think has some upsides. But so far all that comes with it is cold chilled air that gives me the sniffles when they're around. I'd like to say by the end of this book I'll have conquered the monster and won over the girl, but as you read you'll learn that's far to much faith in a screwup like me. This book won't be for everyone, hell people die in it. But the good news is that if I die at least I'll be around, floating off of the pages to haunt you in your home. In this world you're either part animal, a fantastical beast, or a human. The beasts are called Mythics. The Humans don't quite like the Mythics, and they declared war on them unfortunately won. The Humans banished the Mythics to a far away land, and if caught in a foreign land, consider yourself dead. The Mythic AU world depends on how good a certain Mythic is in morals, which coincides with what they would look like. The Humans of course, remain unaffected by these laws. If the village is always good hearted and has the best morals you would only have ears and a tail. (depending on the species of course). If the village was neutral, meaning they did both good and bad at times, they'd have ears and a tail, but other animal features too like paws or animal facial features. And finally if the village had horrible morals, and did everything evil in their power, they'd be considered a 'Beast'. Now a beast, is a Mythic who has completely lost their marbles and gone full beast, but they walk around like humans, (basically typical werewolves.) They'd be covered in fur or scales head to toe and act like complete monsters. They can also potentially develop other species mutations, like horns or strange appendages. (Take notice how I did this is chapter 3's drawing.) Beasts are able to change humans into Mythics as well, with the intent of course. Never in the world of the Mythic AU has a good beast ever been recorded. Hope you enjoy!
