With so few left and still trying to recover, a greater threat still prevails. What will become of Eva and the monster within her?

This is probably my proudest Arc personally. I was in a dark place while writing the 2nd arc onward and I hope I've properly set the tones for the events that are about to unfold. Also some of these are really long here too, so I once again apologize if you aren't into that.

Amid the Embers may look like your typical post-apocalyptic story. It's not. Yes, it starts with the Noxborne Virus. Yes, the world falls apart, fast. But this isn't about scavenging for canned beans or dodging zombies in alleyways. This is about what comes after, the slow, intimate rot of systems, memories, and mercy. It begins with Lily, a CNA in a Chicago hospital, witnessing the final moments of Patient Zero. From there, the story fractures into multiple points of view: survivors, manipulators, believers, and the broken children caught in between. A rising cult twists faith into control. Trauma rewrites love, loyalty, and identity. Each chapter ends with a bonus scene, hidden thoughts and memories, alternate angles, haunted echoes that refuse to stay buried. This trilogy blends psychological horror with emotional realism. Every laugh hides a wound. Every wound starts a story. Amid the Embers is not about saving the world. It's about surviving the memory of it and what it turns you into. ─────────────── **⚠️ Trigger Warning: ⚠️ ** This book contains graphic depictions of: -Child abuse (emotional, physical, and implied sexual exploitation) -Physical torture -Sexual assault -Mentions of child brides - Domestic violence and coercive control -Religious extremism and cult-like behavior -Graphic psychological horror -Substance abuse -Miscarriages -Homophobia and internalized shame -Death and grief -Mentions of suicidal ideation (non-graphic) -Gaslighting and manipulation Reader discretion is strongly advised. ─────────────────

This is volume 3 of our series of books being as the last one was getting long. Volume 1 of This Was Never A Roleplay can be found on the @UniversesCollide account, and Volume 2 can be found under this one. It's for roleplay 99% fantasy based. Strangers brought together into a land unknown. Escaping their past and trying to create a new future, a new hope. Even though they didn't know one another, they worked together. Villain after villain, death after death, battle after battle... They continue to fight for the good side and for each other. They won't stop, no matter what. For they are one large mix-matched dysfunctional family. For together, they are stronger than their greatest foes. Love and friendship will hold them strong. Disaster and betrayal will threaten to tear them apart. But where there is hope, there is a will. And where there is a will, there is a way to bounce back. They are each other's safety net, they are each other's rock. They are sister, brother, friend, and lover. They are family. Time knows no bounds in this place. Jumping from present to years in the future. Their story will continue forever, even after the words are no longer being written, even after they face the end. There will always be an evil somewhere that this group is fighting. Whether the evil is in themselves or elsewhere, it will be fought, and it will be conquered. This is where characters meet and universes collide. This is their dysfunctional family's story.

Five reappears after nearly 17 years, his charming personality gone, and he demands that the family helps him with his little apocalypse problem. And they ultimately fail. [READ MORE BELOW] -- After being teleported to a world filled with magic and fantasy, YN (Your Name) meets a girl he had no clue could exist. Inexplicably infatuated for the blue haired maid, YN will do everything he can to keep her safe from danger, even if she herself is the danger. During his time in the Roswaal Mansion, YN will find out the true meaning of why it's called a "crush." -- This is the REDUX of my story "(Rem x Reader) Re:Reader - Starting YOUR New Life in Another World." This separate entry exists for the purpose of the story's re-write (to fix typos, correct spelling, make names more consistent, etc), but also to preserve the comments from the older entry, and for the purpose of chapter consolidation (Wattpad has a limit of 200, and the main entry is already at 146). All chapters in the older entry will be in this entry in the form of "Volumes" that contain multiple chapters in one larger "chapter" (these chapters will still exist in the volumes of this entry). These newer, longer chapters improve immersion, descriptions, and character dialog/motives, they DO NOT add any new events or lore. When I begin releasing newer chapters for the fic, they will still be posted on the old entry, and they will only be added once I reach those chapters in my effort to rewrite the older chapters. You will NOT be required to read these chapters to understand content past this. Over time, I plan on releasing more "volumes" for this entry as I slowly pluck away at the re-write. Think of this as a way to re-read the series, but with a "new game plus" aspect to it.
