It started out as any other day...just turned out to be a bad one, a weird one.  Before I start my story let me introduce myself. I'm Gracelyn Rose Peters I'm 16 years old and I live in a small town called "Yellow Springs" in Ohio. I'm known as the "town sweetheart", I'm not a really big fan of the term. I don't think it fits me you know.  I work at this small amazing book shop which I think fits me because I love books and their passion. My teeth are reforming to a point and diving right into someones wrist. Then I'm moving up into their neck and I'm draining every single drop if blood in that person's body. I saw Jorge beside me drinking the blood from the other side of the neck. I lifted up his head and smiled to me and I saw his- Vampire fangs. I lifted me head up and smiled at him and he dropped the body onto the floor. Completely drained of blood. He walked over to me and wiped the blood off of my lips. Then in his eyes I saw my reflection. And in that reflection I saw something. I saw my vampire fangs slowly turing back into my regular teeth. Then Jorge and I used our witch and wizard powers to make to body disappear.

A mermaid named Sirène, whose job as a mermaid is to guide those who have died at sea to rest their souls and not be trapped. She typically finds sailors whose ships have sunk, and pirates and convoys alike. Her personality is one of seriousness, and she does not express herself by facial expressions very often. She does sung lovely tunes though, ones of the sea and winds, not ones meant to lure anyone to their doom. She seldom spends time with other merfolk and prefers to be on her own. She is however very curious of the various emotions humans possess and their intensity, since she does not feel these. One day, while Sirène was staying near Pointe de Pen Hir, a dangerous cliffside that plunges right into the ocean. Looking upwards by chance, she saw a human, a man, standing dangerously near the edge of the rocks. The wind blew harshly and she could only watch and wait as he toppled over the edge and feel towards the ocean. She saw no fight in him as he fell. ________________________________________________________________ This is a fantasy story with my mermaid OC that I started making back when I was in middle school. I've used her character to help me through tough times and I am revisiting her. I want to make sure I have a place to remember her story, and make it a happier one than before.
