Some secrets are kept for the good of people. Some secrets are kept for abuse or power.
Yoongi had been a victim of abuse and power, and he wasn't going to let anyone else use secrets for that purpose. So, when Emersyn comes into his life with secrets, he doesn't want to fall into that rabbit hole again.
