However, the letter had to go through the prison guards, the Austrian Ministry of Magic, getting checked for anything suspicious, then sent all the way to Britain, where it had to go through the British Ministry of Magic to get checked for curses once again, then it was passed through numerous Ministry workers, until it finally landed in the hand of Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore.
The catch? It's been 50 years and Gellert has long died in prison.
