Mara doesn't get along well with others. Never has, probably never will, but when her brother and step mother arrange her marriage Mara decides that its time to make some changes. She is plotting to marry her secret love, Jameston when her betrothed befalls a great tragedy. Blame is pointed her way and Mara goes on a desperate adventure to marry her true love, and clear her name.
