It's been 3 whole years since Catarina last saw Edmund Pevensie. 3 whole years since he'd left Narnia and a piece of her heart went with him.
Despite her grief, Cat had a kingdom to help her brother Caspian run and there were still enemies on every side. After defeating giants and armies, she's more than ready to forget her troubles and explore the sea while she waits for Edmund to return to her.
That is, until 3 strangers turn up in front of the Dawn Treader in the middle of the ocean. And one of those strangers is the dark haired king who makes Cat feel complete in a way she's never felt before.
