In the midst of a century long war between fantasy and reality, George is one of the few remaining Magics left in the world, as well as one of the most powerful. Having been wanted for years, hiding in plain sight is his specialty- That is, until he's captured by the humans.
Caged and soon to be killed, George is greeted with the challenge of being guarded by a snarky, annoying assassin who goes by Dream. The two form an unlikely, shaky friendship over their mutual hatred for the war.
But when they accidentally learn things they aren't supposed to, and George is met with emotions he's never felt before, he's not sure what to do.
