The hall was empty and dark, a mist laying over the ground like a veil. The temple felt like a beating heart of something maleficent and fierce, swallowing everything it could touch whole.

She could feel his hatred growing stronger with each step she took. It was a weight that pressed down on her, forcing the air from her lungs and making it hard to breathe. She was drowning in his fury, feeling herself slip away from reality with each passing second. That was what it was. Pure madness, echoing through the halls and intensifying a hundredfold each moment.

Feet stopped dead in their tracks, eyes closed and focussing on the force. Through it she felt his eyes, his dark, maleficent eyes focussed on her through the shadows.

He shifted through the mists, the ripples in the air reaching her and spiking her senses. Lyanna opened her eyes, focussing on the dark figure that was hiding in the darkness. "Show yourself." She could see nothing but two yellow orbs, like the eyes of a predator, prowling through the mist. To say he frightened her would be an understatement.

"The doctor." He chuckled, the mad sound echoing through the halls and sending chills up her spine. Her hand instinctively went out to her lightsaber, her thumb pressing against the button and her eyes trained on his figure. "I was hoping for Kenobi." His voice was low and threatening.

Maul stepped out of the shadows, his eyes glaring at her from afar as he ignited his double-bladed lightsaber at his side. The red casted eery shadows on his dark face, his yellow orbs flaring with pure hatred as he snarled.

The Clone Wars raged across the galaxy bringing terror and destruction. Anakin Skywalker is an arrogant, stubborn, Jedi. Addison Avery is his feisty, just as argumentative counterpart. Both recovering from tainted pasts, pairing up the worst Jedi Knight with the best Knight seems like the worst decision ever right? Well, you're right. It was. 🏆Rankings: #1 Star Wars fan fiction, #1 darth Vader, #1 Jedi master, #4 obiwan kenobi ✨ ~ Anakin's jaw clenched at the jab, but he kept his focus. "And I'm not the with a false sense of pride--charity case." The tension between Addy and Anakin was a tangible force in the monastery's dark corridor. "A charity case? That's really what you think I am?" Addy's voice was a venomous whisper, her anger barely contained. "You know nothing of my past, you arrogant fool." Anakin's chest brushed against her back, catching up to her pace. "And I'd like to know nothing of it." His words sliced through her like a saber stab. The girl whipped around, shoving her saber at his neck. It hummed, the blue glow illuminating the generals ethereal features in the dark corridor. "Just stay out of my fucking way, General Skywalker." His brows furrowed, a frown slowly forming on his lips. Their eyes locked. With a light wave of his hand, he force pushed the girl against the wall. Her saber fell, the blade disengaging on the ground. Anakin slowly walked up, his blue eyes looking like obsidian in the shadows. Standing over her, Skywalker grabbed her neck with his mechanical hand. His touch was cold despite the glove covering the robotic forearm. His grip tightened, and she let out a soft gasp. Skywalker's saber ignited, and held it directly at her throat. His breath hit the tip of her nose as she squirmed under his touch, "Do not ever, disrespect me. Commander Avery." SLOW BURN!!!!

Since Qui-Gon's death, Anakin had become the anchor in Obi-Wan's life. It was Anakin who gave him purpose. There was no greater pride than seeing him surpass the other Padawans, watching him grow into the prodigy everyone had expected him to be. Obi-Wan had even allowed himself a rare indulgence-gloating about his apprentice's achievements, silently basking in the knowledge that he had helped shape the Jedi who would one day be the Order's greatest. But with that pride came an overwhelming guilt. Obi-Wan had never been able to reconcile it fully, but his attachment to Anakin-his love for him-was plain as day to anyone who knew them. The way he lit up when Anakin was in the room, the way he defended his Padawan even when the Council was less than forgiving. That connection had deepened over time, morphing from the playful, nurturing affection of a master for his apprentice into something more guarded. He had become stricter with Anakin as the years passed, holding back the casual warmth he once offered so easily, because he knew that his love for Anakin was becoming too personal, too dangerous. Attachments led to fear, and fear led... well, Obi-Wan knew where that path led. He couldn't afford to let his feelings slip into attachment, even though everyone in the Temple could see it. The truth was, Anakin was his favorite. He had always been. And that scared Obi-Wan more than any battle, more than any Sith Lord. But did Anakin know that? Did Anakin realize how much he meant to Obi-Wan? Or had he misinterpreted Obi-Wan's stricter behavior as a lack of affection? The thought gnawed at Obi-Wan. He remembered sitting by Anakin's bedside, wondering if he had ever told Anakin how proud he was, how much he truly cared for him. But when Anakin had finally woken from that coma, everything had changed.

~In Norse mythology, a valkyrie is one of a host of female figures who choose those who may die in battle and those who may live. Valkyries also appear as women with tremendous beauty, lovers of heroes and other mortals, where they are sometimes described as the daughters of royalty. ~ After hearing of a weapon of mass destruction that was falling into the wrong hands on one of the Republic's planets, Obi-Wan Kenobi and his former padawan Anakin Skywalker are sent to Valeria to restore peace on the former quiet and peacefull planet. It is only after they capture the rebel's leader, a woman called Lyanna, that they discover that there is much more behind the so called 'civil war'. Some reviews: This is heartbreakingly beautiful. I love every part of this story, from the descriptions to the references. It's humorous and dramatic, tragic and fiery. I love this story so much oh my god 🥺 this story is so different than your usual fanfiction in all the best ways- the heroine is strong and can take care of herself, but she has flaws and she's not a mary sue. A developed world besides just the stuff shown in the story, complicated and memorable characters, beautiful writing, this story is just the best <3 Y e s No other words can describe this book because I'd have to use them all (Not your basic "love at first sight" story where there is no or rarely a mention of the Jedi's rules and Obi-Wan's commitment to them. (Because let's be honest here, it's almost impossible to make him ignore the rules) Plus, besides the romance, there is much more in this story and an actual plotline. So don't expect any rainbows, butterflies and love-sick puppies! ) Cover made by me

Nothing left my mouth as I stared at him in shock. He truly believed that I was part of this. The man, who I had lived with and served for months. The man who I had protected with my life and soul. I stood still while, as he backed away from me quickly. "I trusted you with my life." His cry pierced around the empty room. He looked so destroyed and hurt, but mostly his face portrayed rage and determation. "And I protected you with mine." I spoke back loudly. I didn't hear myself say it but I knew I did. I look into his eyes even from our distance they seemed to wallow me in darkness. "I gave you mine." My voice was quiet and cracked. His face changed only for a second before his old one took over again. He doesn't believe me. It doesn't matter what I say or do he won't listen. He will still believe I am the bad guy. Just as Kane said, we will never be equals, we will never be fellow humans. We will always be monsters to them. "Yakov, I am not the bad guy." I plead one last time. His Russian accent comes out harsh with his next words. "Your right," he pauses, "you are the villain." I stumble back as if I had just been stabbed in the chest. It was a horrible feeling. It was never good with the emotions and yet I recognize the feeling as heart beak. I barely breathe in air as I regain my posture. A battle cry from somewhere distracts me momentarily. I suddenly remember Ewan. I glare at Yakov one more time before I take off after the cries of battle. Jade believes she started the war among the human and her kind. Nothing is as it was portrayed. The lies and the truth are hidden among each other. There is is no clear good and evil. How can there be if one does not know what is right and what is wrong. She was prepared to see death, prepared to inflict death upon others without mercy or remose. She was prepared to do her job which the Facility had given her. But now it doesn't seem so simple anymore. Instead she focuses on keeping her friends alive.
