Aurora

Aurora grew up alone. She had her foster brother, Isaiah, but that was it.

When threatened to be separated from each other, the only family they knew, they ran away together, stealing and lying their way from town to town.

That was until Aurora stole from the wrong house.

Only it worked out because her conscience caused her to stop and save the drowning two-year-old daughter of Lord Lamar. He was willing to overlook everything that may have transpired and was so thankful that when his private security searched her belongings and found an acceptance letter to Winter's Silverleaf Academy, he offered to pay her tuition.

Aurora accepted if only to get a place to stay for a year. Except that what they were teaching, wasn't meant for people like Aurora. It was meant for the elite.

Determined to prove everyone wrong about the social hierarchy, Aurora finds herself a tutor. In doing so, she uncovers a plot that will not only change the way magic users live but the way the world operates.

No adult will listen to a nobody who "falsified" her way into the most prestigious academy in the world, only an unorthodox group of friends Aurora has no desire to know that well.

But with the fate of the world in their small hands, they seem to have little choice.
