Night City

In the year 2077, the world's overpopulation caused mega corporations to grow greedy, hiring private armies to steal resources, evict cities and to destroy all who stand in their way. These greed wars turned into pointless mass conflict until only a handful of these megacorps remained, where they practically owned the country. As for the citizens, all of them were forced to rough it in the badlands or survive in the cities. One such city is Night City located in the free state of Northern California, it was once the gold standard for the nations cities but when gang after gang decided to call it home, crime became the norm. Cybernetically enhanced criminals roamed the streets so often that the whole city was used to it, after all there was only three paths in Night City, you either worked till you died, be lucky enough to be born a corp or you broke the rules and made your life your own.
