Britain, 1981. The First Wizarding War has just ended, and wizards wake up from the long nightmare with the desire to get back to their old lives. The obvious exceptions are men like the young Remus Lupin, who after years of tiring espionage on behalf of the Order of the Phoenix, finds himself alone with no one ready to stand by him. He has to live with the guilt of not being able to protect his best friends, and to raise the little Harry Potter. 

Broken-hearted and scared, Remus is forced to act fast and hide his illness. The Ministry of Magic has decided to persecute any werewolves across Britain, to punish the "half-breeds" for supporting the Dark Lord. It doesn't matter if most of them had been innocents. 
In this time dominated by impotence and uncertainty, werewolves are assassinated or imprisoned. Many take their own life; others decide to repopulate the old colonies to contrast the oppression and discrimination cultured by the Ministry. 

Underneath the roaring of hate that still nourishes the wizarding world, Remus finally finds someone who doesn't care about his lycanthropy and is ready to fight beside him.

I figured I'd never be able to share it because the story doesn't run smoothly, but when I opened the document today and saw that I'd written over 170,000 words, I knew that I needed to comb through it and find the individual stories within. They end up running away and find themselves on the Night Bus. That bus takes them to Diagon Alley, a place for witches and wizards and students that are needing to buy school supplies. There June meets a rather large stray dog, she befriends that kind dog, then leaves for the train back to school. On the train, June, James, Lizzie, and Megan sat in a compartment chatting as normal. After the friends exchange a few words the compartment door slides open the tiniest of bits. A boy with brown hair and shocking blue eyes asked if he and his sister could sit with them. June agrees and they enter the compartment. They introduced themselves as Justin and Thea, twins, and both Ravenclaws. June's hopes of an uneventful year die after the train ride leads to Dementors searching the train for an escaped murderous prisoner. Shortly after arriving at school, the students learn that the soul-sucking creatures from the train had been placed outside and around the school's perimeters in case the escapee tries to enter the school grounds. Soon June learns of her Defence Against the Dark Arts professor, Remus Lupin is a werewolf. And that he knew both her parents. Later the young girl learns that the friendly shaggy-haired dog is the escaped prisoner? And that he was Harry's godfather? All that's certain is that this school year will not be uneventful. No year at Hogwarts is, especially with famous Harry Potter there.
