There are days where I just want to escape this place and have a journey. To not have to think and just leave without any consequence. This short story (more of a quick “muse”) envelopes that yearning I have, and sometimes I envy this mystery girl I created, wishing I were her. It’s a very special piece of writing to me, because it’s what I read to myself when I feel almost worthless and unable. It makes me imagine I’m somewhere else, taking a chance and having a life outside of mental chains. I’m publishing it in hopes of it helping someone else cope as well, to just imagine themselves out of their shell.

Erasure

*I highly recommend you read my short story, Imprisoned, before reading this one* A nameless girl finds herself in an unknown location with no choice but to follow the directions of a manipulative voice inside her head, ultimately leading her to a battle to near-death. The girl with no name wishes dearly for the truth, unbeknownst to the lies hidden in plain sight.
