I flinched and took a few cautious steps backwards. Then I whispered, "who are you?" The man's lips tilted up into a ridiculing smile as he replied, "I'm the part of your soul that you chose to forsake."

Regardless of its flaws, Africa was my father and Nigeria was my prince.
