I have been dreading this moment, I knew they would find out eventually. My heart feels like a herd of wild animals running under my chest. The weight of my own wings feels foreign on my back. Sweat rolls over my temples, dropping to the polished marble floors, in puddles at my feet. I know they had always suspected something. Was I not careful? I turn my head, glancing to the side at the tall window with my sorrowful hooded eyes staring back at me.
