Her heart pounded as she fled the scene. Blood soaked her clawed hands and her face.
Her tail swayed and bounced with each step and so did her ears. Her breath came in short gasps.

She'd killed them.

All of them.

Every last one.

And they deserved it.

Her ears flicked as she skidded in the icy snow. A cold breeze made her shiver.

She grinned widely. She was free. No more cold rooms. No more testing. No more getting bossed around. But best of all? No more caretakers.
