Corey "Hazard" Jenkins lives in a town that is constantly in chaos: Tentacles grow from the concrete, Dinosaurs have taken control over a major chunk of the town, and people have started to sprout broken wings. Among those disasters and more, the only peace the town has ever secured was through MacGuffin's Eve, a holiday meant to bring stability for a single day (on MacGuffin's Day) by finding the Giant Ruby Crystal which goes missing right after the day is done each year. And the people who have to find it? They're called the "Annual Disaster Bunch": They're the kids who have been the most destructive that year. The kids who make things fall apart at their touch, the ones who are absolute menaces against their own will... And, to Corey's dismay, that includes them.

Nobody expects something supernatural to happen to them. Those kind of things only happened in comics. Fairy Tales. Unrealistic dreams that you'd fall asleep to, silently wishing for them to come true. At least, that was what these three teenagers thought. It turns out that there is so much more to their simple universe than they ever could have imagined. After each finding a strange alien artifact, the teens are suddenly thrusted into an intergalactic war. Alien species everywhere are trying to hunt down the most powerful weapons in the galaxy. And they are the ones in possession of it. When they run into a girl that claims to be from another planet, the three kids learn about the power given to them and the responsibilities that come along with it. Instantly, they are the most popular people in the galaxy. And for once, popularity couldn't feel more like a curse. Fighting grudges, fear, and distrust, the Chosen humans must travel to the one place on Earth where they might be safe. And with strange new powers, the teenagers struggle to live in the unfamiliar world they thought they knew so well.
