The Gems of Element

I lived a simple life. I'd wake up every morning and eat breakfast with my Dad before heading to school. I'd arrive there, do my work, walk back with my best friend, then come back and sleep all of my worries for tomorrow away. It was my routine, it was what I was used to, and that's the way I liked it, that's the way it's always been.

My life was perfect, until one day he disappeared.

It was so sudden, I couldn't think straight. I was confused, scared, and angry. My Dad was the one person I couldn't lose, so why him? I had made a rash decision and now I'm stuck somewhere I'm not supposed to be in. A world where it seemed like it was taken straight out of a fairytale book, monsters and magic and all of that.

This was nothing I was used to. It was different, It wasn't simple. It seemed like elements, gems, and magic were the only things that would occupy my mind.

All the friends and enemies I made, all the lengths I had to go to, all the things I had to go through. The minute I was revealed to be chosen one of a prophecy I wasn't even able to read, everything I knew changed.

I had a job to do, I had people to protect, and I had a family to get back to.

I'll do anything. I'll go anywhere I need to go. I'll slay any monster I need to slay. I'll save any world I need to save if it means I can see you again.

I know I'll see you again, I love you Dad.
