Matt's face was reddening every moment that passed. He clicked his tongue, "Had I known we'd be welcoming in a thief into our home in the first place, I would've beat the shit out of you in that damned waiting room."
Aiden lifted his head, locking eyes with Matt's dark, unflinching stare. "I'm not a damn thief," he snapped, his tone biting. He shoved Matt back, his stare as cold as his. "Don't act like you're any better. We both ended up in that same place after all."
