As he looks at me with hard, yet sorrowful eyes, I take the chance to savor this moment, a moment that will decide our fate; our future. In front of me, is the most beautiful creature I have ever had the pleasure of setting my eyes on. With all his scars and battle wounds, this mask of facade he wears to the rest of the world. I take this moment to look at all the things that have brought us to here, now. A moment in which I see my goodbye, I see the end, before it had the chance to begin. I can see it in his eyes, his answer. He won't do it. At least not now. I look at him one last time, taking everything he has to offer in. Everything he won't give me.
"So be it" I say, with a tone of finality in my voice. Finality and determination. I won't be made a fool of. I won't put myself through this torture. I am strong enough. I am good enough. Even if not for him, with him.
