Three outcasts have formed a team that gets things no one else can. Until they get an impossible mission. Giza, Cass and Kiran have always been outcasts, even in a world like Norcreda. A dark elf, a half-demon and an azakir that heals instead of killing, they have made their place into the world as the best mercenaries on the continent. They have taken the most dangerous, reckless and terrifying jobs it has to offer. Until the emperor himself hires them for an impossible job. Way back, back before The Santinal empire existed, before Nyx or Helion or The Gray In-between, it is said that dragons ruled the lands of Norcreda. Giant and ferocious, with wings so big that when taking flight they blew the nearby trees away, and fire breath so hot that it could turn the skies red. They hoarded jewels and gold in deep caves and turned anyone who dared to steal from them to ash. It is said that back then, existed people trained specially to hunt them down. They were the heroes of Norcreda, the ones who are said to have ended the rule of the beasts and droven them to the distant Isles in the outskirts of the empire. Do we have anything in common with them? No. Are we stealing from a dragon anyway? Of course. Who are we then? The answer differs depending on who you ask. Tiefs and contrabandists as said by the imperial forces. Outcasts for the people of Norcreda. A bunch of pains in the ass according to our dear Atika. I got off topic. Simply said, we are the three mercenaries stupid enough to cross ways with the emperor. Luckily, he was willing to not let his people shoot us on sight. Why? Because he needed an ancient amulet returned, that, apparently, had been stolen by a giant fire-breathing lizard. My name is Giza. I am a dark elf. And currently, I am on my way to break the one rule everyone in Norcreda knows. No one steals from dragons.

Most of us long to "Be" but when the path gets too costly, or steep, we take solace in what we "Have." Remove the trappings of what we own and then what is the sum of us? They were the survivors, abandoned by the allies who swore to protect, in the ultimate gesture of greed and betrayal. Their world plunged into annihilation and chaos. With the passage of years in this blighted landscape order was established anew. Those who had been anonymous before the war found their will to rule, those who had experienced the comforts and ease of western life, thrust into darkness and despair. This brutal conflict had awoken those long sleeping, those who had ceased to care, those of immense power, the ones entrusted with the safe keeping of the often volatile mankind. Although their parallel world too was at risk, lethargy and arrogance ruled them. Against the backdrop of this savage landscape the saga of three such tribes of survivors unfold, and the unwitting chosen among them. One tribe sought to prosper via savagery, one by organized military might, and the other who ruled with no more than fairness and love. Three tribes thrown together, competing for the limited resources to survive, in a world teetering on the brink of total decimation. Driven by human avarice.
