Hiraeth (Welsh pronunciation: [hɪraɨ̯θ, hiːrai̯θ]) is a Welsh word for homesickness or nostalgia, an earnest longing or desire, or a sense of regret. The feeling of longing for a home that never was. A deep and irrational bond felt with a time, era, place or person.

Gwen Wellsworth was regarded as the most talented legilimens student at Hogwarts. She was Snapes prodigy, of sorts. Her being is completely stripped of its talent and memory however, when she is comatose for three weeks after the Battle of Hogwarts.

Her mind revolves on vague feelings and concrete fact as her seventh year begins, as well as two memories she was lucky enough to keep.
