Brightstar is heartbroken. After an attack that left her powerless to defend her kits one is stolen and has no idea who he is and the other doesn't know she has a brother. On top of losing one of her two kits Brightstar has to lead her clan. She isn't alone, her mate Icewing will do whatever it takes to keep their hopes and happyness growing and although Riverheart doesn't know anything about her brother she's always at her mothers side. Brightstar's deputy and closest friend Hawkwing however seems to be drifting away and Brightstar can't figure out why. Through all this Birdsong Waterclans medicine cat seems lost and confused in the mountains of prophecies and omens she's been receiving. Somehow Waterclan has to make it through these difficulties and mend friendships. Or fall apart, for good.

Duckkit lives a happy life in RiverClan with her parents, and her brothers, Goosekit and Swankit. She enjoys playing and overall having fun. But after something that changes her life happens, she feels as if she doesn't fit in her clan - especially when there's a hidden traitor among her clanmates.
