Julianne Forbes, older sister to Caroline, had always been tasked with keeping eyes on her sister and her friends. Now back from college with no clue on what to do with her life, she continues the parent roll for all of Caroline's friends including Bonnie, Matt, and Jeremy. 

A new student by the name of Stefan Salvatore joins the friend group and Julianne knows something is wrong. With this feeling, she does everything to protect her friends not knowing she's the reason the problems started. 

After witnessing something she shouldn't have, she meets the one and only Damon Salvatore and he can't decide whether to kill her or kiss her.

The idea is the same, that Stefan and Damon both loved the vampire back in the day and are now interested in the doppelgänger, Julianne.
