A collection of poetry and chronicles of an insightful yet misunderstood teenage girl, desperately trying to find meaning of the endeavors of her mind and her life.From her poetry about her mental illnesses such OCD, ADHD, and BPD to her chronicles about her beliefs on the world at large.Her depictions of certain events in her life take place from 8th grade, the year many things in her life went astray to 10th grade, a year that would show signs of happier future for this young advocate of egalitarianism.Finding her voice to speak up and speak out against bullying, mental health, lgbt rights, and so many other topics made her stronger than who she used to be.

She learned how to turn her trauma into an art form as a coping mechanism for not only herself, but other people who may relate to her thoughts, feelings, beliefs, or the pain of having trauma shaping who you are itself.She was also inspired to turn to writing and storytelling because she wanted a safe outlet to be as honest as possible with the problems she has faced in life.She became strong & resilient to survive because that's what she had to do and that's what she needed to do.Life can be a very cruel and merciless game, but Lillian is a very tenacious and strong-willed player.All Rights Reserved

Your ears are ringing, echoing in your brain, and everything hurts so badly. Your vision is going blurry as you try to fight back the tears, and you're wondering why you even try anymore. At one point or another, most of us have experienced the feeling of worthlessness, shame, or guilt. We feel like we're at rock bottom, and it seems like nothing will ever get any better no matter how hard we try. One thing we do know for sure, though, is that where there is dark, there is bound to be light, no matter how small that speck may be. There's always hope, no matter how far out of reach it may seem. There's always light in the dark. TW/CW: mentions of anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts. "I know that even when things seem dark and at rock bottom, there's always hope. She is an outcast. She finds it easier to express what she feels in the form of writing. Whether it is poems, letters or long texts. These are poems that she writes trying to describe how it feels to live with certain mental health issues, in a world that disregards outcasts. So, these are on the darker side of the spectrum. Some poems might be distressing for some readers. I personally enjoy consuming dark content, it's kinda like a coping mechanism. A young writer's newly released first collection of poems. Written during the tumultuous and at times troubling years of high school and the more forgiving and enlightening years of college, Maddy Kobar captures what it was like to have come of age in the last few years. These poems touch on personal levels with hope and hopelessness amid the most confusing years of one's life as well as some of the larger issues facing our society- such as women's rights, LGBTQ equality and the fragile state of the environment. The poems are broken up into four categories; Love and Disappointment, At Desperation's Door, Voices That Speak for Themselves, and Life's Lies Unveiled (or Truths that must be told). This collection was originally released on Amazon in Summer 2013. I honestly want more reads and reviews on ALL my writing so I'm going to re-release this collection as a 2nd edition now for Wattpad. This edition may have differences from the 1st edition. I'm not partial to poetry any more. The quality varies between the poems. I wrote them all between the ages of 14 and 20.

This is a collection of poems written as a way to control a person's feelings; originally they were never intended to be seen by human eyes. This is written from the point of view of someone who struggles with emotional turmoil but feels they cannot tell others about it because their afraid it might drag them into the same torture they feel everyday. Depression is a serious thing that plagues our world and this is one of many ways it can affect a person. Too many people act like this doesn't exist or its a style but its not its a serious issue people have become desensitized to. When this book was first published it climbed its way to #1 in depression, to my dismay I took it down hoping to find a publisher that would be willing to work with me (of course no progress has been made) ALL poems in this book have a trigger warning but if there is *** in the title than its a suggestion and an extra precaution to not read it if you are at risk of becoming triggered. My collection of poems in the past three years which leads to character development. Realistic incidents, illusionary love, hardships, it's quite a journey. Some say I'm unique and some say I'm Raw. Some say my work is relatable and some feel they can relate. That's crazy though, makes me want to be heard. I was quiet as feathers basically my whole life, closed up, antisocial, lost. Until I started writing. Although, I didn't open my mouth, I was even louder than before. Excuse me, I am louder!
