"We aren't just empowered freaks. We are soldiers for war."

Our world isn't alone, it never was in the first place. It is in a twisted reality that the ancient gods themselves forged. But as the multiverse gets darker, it begins to threaten the balance our worlds had tried to maintain for a long time.

Anyone has the capability of saving it, but anyone also has the capability of further darkening the worlds. No one knows what's in for anyone. Not even the Descendants - a diverse group of people that was formed in order to help the world regain the balance.

But fate isn't as we know it. It has a funny way with things - playing with the strings before untangling the mess.

The first tangle: getting them together. It is a tangled mess of hate, doubt, love, death, and betrayal. Include a fruit in the mix - and BOOM.

''You know, people call us evil, the villains, but really, anarchy can be quite noble.'' ~~~ In a cut-off continent of monsters that come in every way, shape, and form, it's not so surprising some of the humans have evolved to have some animalistic features, passed down through their very DNA. Like if you're a bat hybrid, you might be blind, but have amazing hearing and the unique ability to echolocate. Or if you're a fox hybrid, you have fox ears and tail, and are eternally called a furry. Rune was a happy kid, raised by her father to one day take over the nation that was so clearly better than all the others. That was, until her uncle mysteriously disappeared, leaving his location with her and only her. And then, only two years later, an election is rigged by her brother, putting Rune's father not only out of office, but out of a home as Carson chases him and the previous vice president, Rune's other uncle, out and she gets imprisoned and tortured for another two years for information she can't give. Alastair was a terrible leader, and he knew it. No matter how he was reassured by his friends, he knew he'd never be Dio. More than anything, he wanted his mentor back. His days are spent trying to protect and hide the only people on this earth he cares for, including his best friends, Ewe and Gray, and Archer, the only person he'd ever gone against direct orders for. They were everything to him, and if he dared fail in his single purpose of protecting them, he didn't know if he'd be able to live with himself. So when things fall into place all at once, Rune needing protection and Alastair being the only one who can provide it, it forces a plan into motion that Alastair had been avoiding. A plan that risked everything, and forced memories and secrets alike to be unearthed and brought to the surface in a mess of chaos and betrayal and confusion that none of them were sure they could handle. But hey, no one dies with no regrets.

Supernatural creatures are real. They are a part of the world now, instead of hiding in the shadows. They want to belong. Will they? When Davyna's mother is killed protecting her from a vampire attack at their home, she vows never to be weak or unprepared again when it comes to ANY supernatural. But when her father is chosen to oversee the integration and safety of the human race within the new world, Davyna is forced to be in the absolute last place she ever wanted to be - and although she sees some good in these creatures, she struggles to accept being among them harmoniously, and chooses to close herself off to most. That is, until she meets a certain werewolf and vampire. As wars brew, secrets arise, and identities are discovered, will Davyna rise up and embrace her place in the supernatural world? Or will she abandon it all for a life of revenge and isolation, that's only filled with pain and intense hate? ______________________________________ [COMPLETED JANUARY 9th, 2021] [18+, some mature content/themes, sex, swearing.] [Sexual themed chapters will be labelled with a disclaimer, and have been written in a way that you can skip these scenes if you prefer.] [Kindness is greatly appreciated! The Wolf Queen (The Queen's Slave, Book 2) by herlittlenightmare
74 parts Complete Mature
Betrayed, lost, broken. This is Azalea's reality now. Once a slave, now a warrior. A future queen tasked with the enormous weight of the survival of her race resting on her shoulders. The wolves are dying. When the vampires took over, the ancient race of shifters dwindled rapidly. The fought hard, but they were no match for the strength and numbers of the vampires. Then, they ran. Settling deep within the mountains, in the tunnels where a steady network of caves ran underneath a dormant volcano. Little did they know, the loss of the forest took a toll on them. Disease swept rapidly through their numbers, but their ability to shift dwindled until they could hardly even feel their wolves. Until finally the entirety of the power itself was snuffed out, rendering the remaining wolf-borne human. Well, all but one. The princess. Having reverted back to her true name while running for her life with a few hundred slaves at her back wasn't exactly easy for even the most seasoned of wolves. Especially since the one person she was running from could track her anywhere in the world. But there are things about the wolf princess that Elizabeth doesn't know, a wild untamable power seeking to be released just below the surface. Over the last two hundred years, her father has been reclaiming his kingdom, piece by piece. He has gathered allies from all over the world to fight the deadly vampire queen, Ravenna and her family. Tasked with the heavy burden of keeping her pack safe, along with tending to her broken soul, will she ever be the queen her people need her to be? One crazed queen, chasing down her mate. Another crazed queen, chasing down a weapon. Who will get there first?
